Learning French just because…

March 11th, 2008 by postwriter1

Learning a language, in the way the world moves with the globalization and everything what it means, always it is going to turn out a positive decision. Learning a new language for getting a new job or for education is always means the opening to a world of new possibilities. While more universal it is the language that we decide to learn, we will have more new options of education or for working in the present. This possibility to obtain scholarships for studying abroad, or searching for places in the commercial sector and with very much fret of foreign clients. Also this is another possibility: learning a language just because…

When you learn a new language, it is not a must that necessarily we have to like, because the supposition is that we are learning something not known for us, and then it is impossible that we taste or dislike something that actually we do not know. What we must do is taking the taste for the classes we are attending. It is important that we have very dedication to what we are learning because it will help that the learning will be more agreeable and satisfactory, even it will help for accelerating the time of learning and therefore, saving time and money.

Someone say that what is done with pleasure it is done better, and it works when you want to learn a new language. We must try that the new language pleases us, for this we can extend our knowledge on the language, which means to know more than this, knowing the customs, the traditions and the culture itself of this society. This will help us to know and understand a little bit more the new language. This happens with many people that they begin in the learning of a new language and end for be fascinating by the culture of this new language.

However, I had a contradictory history to tell you. Since I was a young man, I began to knowing the French culture as a fascinating one. At the beginning for the history of its culture and then for my unlimited pleasure for the classic French movies. In the university days, I started collecting French movies of all time, especially the Godard and Truffaut. I became an addict to the French cinema and even more when I discovered the French literature. I started reading French authors and translating to the Spanish, which it woke up the curiosity to be able to read all these movies in their original language.

When I was in a bilingual school I remember I bought a French/Spanish dictionary. With it I passed hours and hours translating some nice and picaresque phrases that after I sent to the prettiest girls of the school. The girls liked the detail and even they did not like me or even notice me, I have a new more reason for being interested for this fascinating country of love.

However, unfortunately, I took more time in learning almost perfectly the language, because when I had to study some language I had to choose the English due to the fact that it was a universal language. I had to learn the English of necessity, but after it turned also into an amusement, since it allowed me to know the American and British movies, in addition it allowed me to know very interesting authors and to learn much more of the literature of the old continent. The desires to learn the French remained postponed. After many years and already with a job that allows me to accede to the some studies, I am starting studying Frenchman. Just because I want to learn and because now, it could turn out on having a new opportunity of a career job.
